Math in the nature-Măricuța-Ioana Berinde

Math in Nature

Through the Math in Nature activity, students explored the natural environment to discover mathematical concepts all around them. They observed patterns, counted objects, measured distances, compared sizes, and identified shapes in plants, trees, stones, and other natural elements.

This hands-on experience helped students understand that mathematics is not limited to the classroom but is present everywhere in nature. By combining observation, exploration, and problem-solving, students developed mathematical thinking, creativity, and a deeper appreciation for the world around them.

Living Math showed that nature is one of the best classrooms for discovering mathematics!
