  The Living Math Explorers project was showcased at the 2025–2026 eTwinning Good Practices Exhibition organized by the Eskişehir Provincial Directorate of National Education. The exhibition provided a valuable opportunity to disseminate our project and share our experiences with the educational community.

 On eTwinning Day , we proudly celebrated our eTwinning journey. During the event, our students presented their project work, and last year's National and European Quality Labels were presented in recognition of our achievements.

Our students had great fun preparing traditional soups, main courses, desserts, and drinks in international teams. While cooking, they explored mathematical concepts such as measurement, quantity, and proportion, discovering that mathematics is an essential part of everyday life.

  Our students explored mathematics in everyday life by measuring distances between cities. Through this activity, they strengthened their measurement skills while discovering how mathematics helps us understand the world around us.

  Our students explored the connection between mathematics and art by creating symmetrical artworks and writing collaborative stories in StoryJumper. Through this creative activity, they discovered that mathematics inspires both artistic expression and storytelling.

  Our students had great fun exploring mathematics through interactive Math & STEAM games . While playing the games created collaboratively by our project partners, they strengthened their mathematical thinking, problem-solving, and creativity skills. This enjoyable experience showed once again that learning mathematics can be both fun and meaningful.

  Math in Nature During the "Math in Nature" activity, students explored the world around them and discovered how mathematical concepts can be found in nature. They identified patterns, counted various objects, measured distances, compared sizes, and recognized the shapes of plants, trees, stones, and other natural elements.     This hands-on experience helped the children realize that mathematics is not limited to textbooks or the classroom but is present in everyday life and in the environment around us. Through observation, investigation, and problem-solving, the students developed logical thinking, creativity, and a deeper understanding of the world around them.

Symmetry Through the Symmetry activity, students explored one of the most fascinating mathematical concepts found in everyday life and nature. They identified lines of symmetry in objects, drawings, leaves, flowers, butterflies, and geometric shapes, discovering how balance and proportion create harmonious forms. By folding, drawing, observing, and creating symmetrical designs, students developed spatial awareness, visual perception, and problem-solving skills. The activity encouraged creativity while helping students understand that symmetry is an important part of mathematics, art, architecture, and the natural world. Living Math helped students discover that symmetry is all around us, bringing beauty, balance, and mathematics together.

Playing Games As part of the Living Math project, students learned mathematical concepts through educational games and interactive activities. By playing, they practiced counting, problem-solving, logical thinking, measurement, and teamwork in a fun and engaging way. Game-based learning increased students’ motivation and participation while helping them develop mathematical skills in a relaxed and enjoyable environment. Through challenges, puzzles, and collaborative games, students discovered that mathematics can be exciting, creative, and meaningful. Learning through play made mathematics come alive and helped students build confidence in their abilities while having fun.

Math in Nature Through the Math in Nature activity, students explored the natural environment to discover mathematical concepts all around them.   Europe Day – eTwinning Activity To celebrate Europe Day (9 May) , students participated in a creative eTwinning activity dedicated to the values and symbols of the European Union. They colored and designed the European flag, learned about the importance of unity, cooperation, and diversity, and expressed their ideas through artistic work. This activity helped students develop creativity, cultural awareness, and a sense of European citizenship while promoting the eTwinning values of collaboration, friendship, and mutual respect. Together, we celebrate Europe, diversity, and learning without borders!

Math in the City-Măricuța-Ioana Berinde

In this activity, a student used maps and mathematical calculations to identify and present the distance from Sighetu Marmației to another country. By exploring real-world locations, measuring distances, and comparing routes, the student developed geographical knowledge, mathematical skills, and digital competence. This activity demonstrated how mathematics can help us better understand the world and the connections between different countries.
